Coal is still used as a main source of energy worldwide, and such a situation could last for a few more decades till abundant new and renewable energy are available. However, coal not only contains various impurities which are harmful to the environments, but also it is more carbon-intensive than other fossil fuels. It is particularly significant for the whole world to explore the way to clean, low carbon, secure and high efficient utilization of coal. The International Symposium on Coal Combustion (ISCC) is a series of symposium sponsored and organized by Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. It has been successfully held for nine times every four years since 1987. The coming ISCC-10 will be held in Taiyuan City, a famous historical city in the central China, in August 06-09, 2023. We sincerely invite the researchers, scientists, engineers and graduates from both academe and industries, who are interested in clean coal combustion and low carbon emission for coal utilization to attend the symposium. The symposium is to offer a non-profit platform for all attendants to exchange their ideas, experience and information on the science and technology of low carbon coal and alternative fuel utilization. It would also be a place to find and build up new partnership in the associated scientific research and industrial collaboration.
